MONEY KARMA | Spending, Investing and Power Dynamics

Together we open to more truth, more magic, more you. [00:00:28] Welcome to episode 28, Money, Karma, Spending, Investing and Power Dynamics. [00:00:35] I am excited for this episode. It's not a topic that I thought I would discuss on here, but it is a topic that touches all of us. [00:00:46] So I am seeing more and more people speaking about money online and I'm yet to see it being spoken about more energetically and karmically. [00:01:04] So, yeah, as an energy, as a story, as a soul contract. [00:01:09] And so I just wanted to explore that with you. And I guess my intention behind this episode is always using astrology for empowerment. [00:01:25] And so, yeah, really wanting to empower you and shine the light. [00:01:35] And so when I am speaking about money, it's not how much you have, but we're also going to be speaking about how you hold it, how it holds you, and what those sacred agreements might have woven through maybe your ancestral line, maybe past lives, which I've been going a lot into lately, and also your purpose in, in this incarnation. So whether your journey with money to this point has been healing scarcity, or calling in financial sovereignty, or desiring to live in alignment with your dharma, I'm hoping this conversation will help you understand. [00:02:29] Yeah. [00:02:31] Those deeper elements within your birth chart. Well, which I see as our soul contract, because money, when understood as karma and spirit, it really does become a divine, feminine force of creation, of devotion and truth, which is what I'm really interested in. Because in Vedic astrology, we are living in the tail end of the age of Pisces. [00:03:03] And this is historically a time associated with sacrifice and this spiritual idealism. And that service is often at the cost of personal power or material comfort. And in this age, wealth is, is, and was frequently withheld from the feminine or seen as, and not only that, but incompatible with the spiritual path. [00:03:39] And I think there's time to illuminate those false truths. So as we move to the end of this age of Pisces, this is really a time of reclaiming, especially for women, and especially women being called to reclaim their wealth, their sovereignty and their choice. [00:04:04] So not just for that personal comfort, but to heal these ancestral lines, to rewrite those cultural narratives and really to embody, and yeah, embody power with wisdom. And I really feel that wealth in the hands of conscious women is Part of this evolutionary arc. And it's not about ego, it's about evolution. [00:04:31] So if you're feeling the pull to finally earn, save, charge, invest in alignment with your truth, you're not imagining it. You're responding to this soul level calling that's arriving at this time. [00:04:50] And so, yeah, that is my intention for this episode and why I feel that it has been on my heart to speak about. [00:04:59] So first I wanted to speak about what I what is money? Karma. So in Vedic astrology, karma means action as its consequence, not as a punishment, but more of a cause and effect. So your soul carries with it an imprint and we can say, for example, a money karma. So this is an energetic signature of how you've related to wealth, to value, to power across your lifetimes. And this is obviously if you believe in reincarnation. So yeah, I'm just putting that there. And it's not just about what you earn or spend. [00:05:46] It's about how you magnetize resources, how you hold onto or release abundance. [00:05:54] Whether money flows to you with grace or it gets blocked by fear, and whether you feel safe, sovereign and sacred in your relationship with it and money. Karma can reveal these unseen agreements between your soul and wealth. [00:06:14] And some are blessings, others are debts, some are, you know, vows to stay humble, spiritual and, you know, disconnected from material power, where others are invitations to learn new ways of thinking, stewarding their abundance without fear or shame. And I think at the same time we need to talk about why does wealth come easier for some. [00:06:41] So it seems like others just get money more easily and as often because their money karma is lighter, it's clearer, it's more complete in certain areas. And this is what I see reading charts and this is why your effort in, you know, one and one equals two. [00:07:09] There's so much more nuances to this. [00:07:13] I don't want to say game, but these layers, like there's so many layers. And so you can't just say, oh, that person. [00:07:25] Yeah. You can't just have these blanket statements because it's like my, one of my Vedic astrology teachers said to me, something, something, I will share this. Something really unjust happened to me and I being very self reflective and self aware, I was trying to logically work out why it had happened because it was completely at the detriment of me. And the other person came in and kind of got all the accolades that I had been. [00:08:07] Yeah, like earning. Right. [00:08:11] And that it just didn't in the universal law. It just didn't do the math right. It wasn't doing the universal math. [00:08:23] And so I said to my Vedic astrology teacher, I explained the situation and he said, yes, but you don't know what your karmic agreement with him was. [00:08:37] And sometimes that is the only answer. That is the only answer that my soul was happy to, to take on because there was no other reason. But then he went on to give even more of a spiritual context around it. And he said, you know, he, he might have gained this from you, from your hard work, but you don't know what that is going to lead him to. It could lead him to, you know, further deception, further unraveling him making, you know, bad choices. You don't know how that is going to unwind the path for him. [00:09:23] So I just want to say that this topic is, there's a lot of gray in it, but I just wanted to share that with you. [00:09:32] So back, back on this. You know, why does it come easier for some? So, you know, some may. And I see this in, like I was going to say, I see this in charge. I see people's chart geared up for money, success. Like it's inherent, it's going to happen. They don't have to work as hard. [00:09:58] And you know, because our society is so geared up towards wealth being, you know, the greatest marker of success, this can feel like unfair. But this is why we have to start looking at the nuances which I, I hope to touch on. [00:10:18] And so looking at it as this. Yeah, very complex. [00:10:25] Yeah, you know, karmic ball. [00:10:28] And so just because it's more easeful for some does not mean better. And like I just explained with that story, so your soul may be here to experience more depth over wealth, healing over accumulation, or transformation over ease. So you have to understand the deeper layers of your soul journey here and the lessons that you want to be learning. [00:11:06] And so this is why we want to look at the chart. And I, I will say that Jyotish, which is Vedic astrology, is the science of light. So it's lighting up my path. When I have lot, I am lost. And so this is where we can use the chart to see our blind spots, to see where we can acknowledge, where we can transmute maybe that ancestral scarcity or break some generational patterns or, you know, start clearing this past life, maybe vows of poverty, maybe servitude, maybe renunciation. And that is the sacred work and that is wealth work in its highest form. Which is why I'm looking at this now and I, I, yeah, want to speak about it. And so a lot of my Clients will ask me, what if this lifetime isn't geared towards money? And I feel like I've touched on this. But looking at the, like zooming out and looking at your life as a recalibration, a time to rewire your relationship with value. Not just material value, but your self worth, your sole purpose, and your energetic integrity. [00:12:25] And I'm going to go into this further later, but the. When we look at the second house, the second house in our chart represents wealth and possessions, but it is also the house of our voice. It's also the house of our self worth. [00:12:45] So this is why it is all tied together and so you don't need to chase money to heal your money karma. This is not what I'm getting at. You need to witness your patterns, shift your narrative. And this is where we want to reattune to the truth that you are already worthy. And as cliche as that sounds, sometimes this lifetime is about restoring balance. So what I mean by that is in past lifetimes, maybe if you hoarded, it might be in this lifetime learning to share, or if you were exploited, it might be about now reclaiming your power. [00:13:28] Or if you rejected wealth for spiritual reasons in past lives, you might be learning in this lifetime that divine and material abundance aren't separate. And so I just really want you to look at this from an expanded, you know, esoteric, spiritual lens. [00:13:49] And so this brings me to. [00:13:51] So how do we create good money karma? Because if karma is cause and effect and its consequence, then how do we create, I guess, positive karma when it comes to money? Because all of our choices, daily choices, thoughts, intentions, actions are creating karma. [00:14:14] So this isn't about doing right in a perfect, polished way. It's about how to clean your relationship with it. And so how you hold it, how you move it, and whether your actions around money reflect who you really are and also who you're becoming. This is the conversation that I'm really interested in and I've touched on it a little bit. [00:14:38] And so acting in integrity with money is so important. [00:14:44] So how you earn, how you give, save and spend. [00:14:50] And this is where it all starts, with honesty. Are you earning in a way that feels aligned? And, and this is what I'm, I don't hear people speaking about. I hear all these like, you know, get money by doing, you know, A, B and C. But no one is talking about the real, deeper, subtle shifts that make the big changes. And so when we have this conversation, talking about, are you undercharging because you're scared of what you're really worth? Or are you spending from impulse or guilt or need to prove something? [00:15:30] And so when it comes to earning, it's asking your questions like if is your work a reflection of your values? Are you being paid fairly? And more importantly, are you asking for what you're worth? This is all so important when it comes to giving. Are you generous without burning out? Do you give from overflow or to be liked or to avoid discomfort? And this is just like these little check ins that you can do and self reflect. When it comes to saving, is your saving rooted in clarity or fear of never having enough? [00:16:11] I hear so many stories. People say, you know, they're saving, saving, saving. They're saving for in case something bad happens, what do you think happens? That exact amount that they were saving goes to something that was unforeseen because that's exactly the GPS coordinates that you're giving that savings. [00:16:34] Then when it comes to spending, are you spending in ways that build your future or are you just trying to keep up, escape, self, soothe? And so with this, money reveals what you believe about safety, what you believe about power and worth. And this is why we need to examine it, because integrity here is about cleaning that up. No shame, just, just, we're just having awareness around this. [00:17:09] And so really honoring your money as energy, not just numbers. [00:17:14] And it means you start to see money as something that moves with your values and obviously getting clear on your values if you don't know what they are, you should have, you should have your values written down and you should be, I say, should you, living into your values, that is an aligned life a lot of the time. And I've been guilty of this. [00:17:41] I have had things on my top values, but I haven't been embodying it every day because I aspired to have that as my top value, but I wasn't living it daily and so I was out of alignment. [00:17:55] And so this is important to look at, so getting clear on your values when it comes to money because then you will see what you want to put your money towards. Are you putting it towards those values? And that this should make it really clear. [00:18:12] And it's not just about the amount, it's about how it flows into your life as well. So when you, when you're treating money as something that holds meaning, whether you're paying a bill, you're getting paid, or you're choosing where to invest, it becomes less transactional and more intentional. [00:18:30] And I think, you know, on the very start of my journey around this, I, you know, I was in my 20s and I used to, I used to fear bills. [00:18:48] And of course then more and more would come. Whatever we're, you know, focusing on comes to us. And it wasn't until I started being really intentional about when I paid something, I would always make sure that I was in a very high vibrational state and paying it with absolute gratitude, like I was so happy to pay it that things energetically started changing for me. And these are just like the subtle nuances that I'm talking about. [00:19:22] But I found that really fascinating. So try that. So if before you're paying a bill, just, you know, stop for a second and assess your mindset because you're, if you're in that like, oh, you know, that tight contracting feeling, take a pause, don't pay in that moment and wait until you can shift that feeling. [00:19:48] And so every money move that you're making is a vote for the kind of life that you're building. This is why it's important to understand your values and then coming to gratitude even for the small amounts. So having that reverence and just noticing the small wins and the shifts and it's really going to shift your nervous system from that scarcity to that openness and rewires you to receive. [00:20:18] So if you can, if you can't respect that $20, what will you do with the $20,000? And so when you treat every amount as worthy of acknowledgement, you're building trust with yourself and whatever you believe governs the bigger picture and so that respect makes you available for more. [00:20:41] And you know, these, these sentiments can be applied to so many other areas of our life. But clearing limiting beliefs around inherited money stories. [00:20:52] So we all carry financial programming, whether it' family culture, gender, your own past. [00:21:01] Maybe you were told money is hard to get, that it corrupts people, or that asking for more makes you greedy or selfish. And most of us don't even realize we're carrying these stories until we hit a ceiling or we start sabotaging what we've earned. And this step is about getting curious, like, whose voice is that? What belief keeps playing on loop, and most importantly, do I actually believe that anymore? And this is where you get to choose what stays. And you can rewrite the script, also being a clear vessel. When money flows through you in aligned ways, more comes. So think of yourself as a channel. [00:21:46] When you're holding onto money too tightly out of fear or leaking it through unconscious choices, it really blocks that flow. [00:21:55] And when you're intentional when money comes in, it gets used in ways that Match your values and supports the life you're creating. You open that flow and you don't need to be perfect, you just need to get clear. [00:22:11] And when money moves through you, well, more wants to move forward towards you. And so this is why it's all about this conscious choice. So good money karma is built moment by moment. So by how you choose to show up in your financial life. So I don't want to say that there is a formula, but there is alignment. [00:22:41] And so asking yourself, is this decision honest? Does it reflect who I want to be? [00:22:49] Am I staying small or am I stepping into something more real? And the more you act from that place, the more clean your energy becomes. And money responds to that. And so again, it's not about that perfection, it's about that awareness. [00:23:05] And so I want to talk a little bit from a Vedic astrology lens about money blueprint. And so the chart can show our financial karma. So there's key houses and planets that really do tell your story. So I've touched on the second house, it being around earned wealth. It's also our values, our family legacy, our inherited beliefs. Our blockages here might create money shame or guilt that is often rooted in ancestral patterns. So looking at the second house, also looking at your sixth house. This is the house of daily work, service and debts. [00:23:50] And this can show the discipline or chaos that you experience in financial flaws flow. So if you're avoiding responsibility, you know that leading to stress or the 11th house as well, we can look to which is the house of gains, friendships, also hopes, wishes, desires for the future. [00:24:16] And so money flows when our talents serve the collective good and when our relationships align with our sole purpose. This is why looking at the 11th house and then also looking at the 12th house, which is associated with spending, losses, sacrifice and spiritual liberation. So this house can reveal where there's energy leaks or where we can transform. And it's also a reminder that some wealth is meant to flow outward for higher purposes. [00:24:52] There's also particular planets that I will look at. So Saturn obviously being the karmic accountant, and so a strong Saturn teaches patience and long term wealth building. He what I will say about Saturn, he can take a long time to give wealth and it will be through long, hard, sustained effort, depending on where this is in your chart. [00:25:27] And but once you have that and once you've attained it, Saturn is really good at keeping. And so this is obviously important to think about as well. [00:25:42] So, and we want to look at the state of Saturn. Is Saturn exalted? Is it Afflicted. And if it's afflicted, it may, you know, trap you into scarcity or some, some harsh financial lessons. [00:25:55] We also can look at the planet Venus. So Venus obviously being the goddess of love, abundance, a strong Venus brings prosperity through beauty, through values, through soulful connections. [00:26:10] And whereas a debilitated Venus can confuse, you know, love with money or lead to codependency. [00:26:22] And I'm just being really generalistic here. [00:26:26] Jupiter is the planet of spiritual wealth and generosity. It's the lucky planet. And then when we look at spending, investing and energetic flow, we can look to the 12th house as guiding that spending. Not just what you buy, but how your energy flows through money. So more of the conscious spending is devotional, so investing in your growth, in your healing, creativity, soul nourishment. [00:26:56] Whereas those unconscious spending leaks through maybe escapism, emotional purchases or proving worth externally. [00:27:08] So it's about, you know, investing in the soul. Where do you plan your energy? Are you nurturing your ego or cultivating your essence and you know, investing in sacred mentorship, spiritual study or. [00:27:25] Yeah, think things like this. [00:27:27] Then when it comes to power dynamics and healing financial karma, we need to remember that money reflects power and both personal and collective. So historically power was often hoarded or abused, the feminine like I've touched on was overlooked and more of that spiritual labor was exploited. And so this could, like I've mentioned, manifest as undercharging your gifts, overspending to self, soothe over giving to feel worthy, or avoiding money to stay spiritual. So your chart can show where you surrender your financial power and where you're living in someone else's story. [00:28:18] So these are some placements that you can look at and just asking yourself, where am I giving my power away and whose story am I repeating? Because when we have that conscious lens, this is when we can start to rewrite our money karma and not through struggle, but through this wisdom and grace. [00:28:49] And so I feel like we've just scratched the surface on this. But because I am so passionate about this, I am going to be doing some one on one money blueprints. [00:30:11] And so it is my intention with these deep dive one on one sessions for you to really gain a clear understanding of why you might over give, underspend, avoid budgeting or struggle to receive and have more of like a blueprint overview of your money personality based on your chart. And then because I'm all about the practical integration of this specific actions to take and what to shift, where to lean in and so I am very passionate about this.
